In1994, the Chinese government officially had an access to theInternet which have influenced the common people at an unparalleledspeed. A brand new community consisting of virtual and reality havebeen opening to us and a complex cultural forms of network have formedgradually. As an important part of network users, Contemporary collegestudents has become the main customers of network culture and producersas well.Therefore, network culture has an extremely profound impact oncollege students ’ way of thinking and acting, and the concepts, whichmakes the cultivation of national spirit of college students more importantin the era of network culture. On one hand, as a culture carrying richcharacteristics, network culture brought some opportunities for thecultivation of national spirit of college students, but, on the other hand,The "you sing my debut" Carnival of cultures interpreted by the networkculture and cultural colonialism the Western hostile forces use via thenetwork formation is challenging the cultivation of national spirit ofcollege students had. Part iv analyzes the reason why network culture brings negativeimpact on the cultivation of national spirit for college students.Part vplaces emphasis on the necessity, significance,and approaches ofcultivating national spirit of college students making use ofnetwork-oriented culture.
