The things which cultivate and select successors is directly related both to the stability of our country and the prosperity of the cause of socialism.Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping always pay special attention to the training and selection of successors, which have certain realistic directive significance for the training and selection of the Party’s successors now and in the future.Their were have common in thought, and at the same time had relatively difference because of era background and other factors. Respectively elaborated from the aspects of standard, approach, method, content and so on.The fourth part mainly analyzes the similarities and differences in Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping successor thought origin and history of the enlightenment.
