With the wide application of Internet technology, the way of selling goods or providing services through the Internet is popular gradually. According to statistics, the online retail market transactions amounted to1.3205trillion RMB at the end of2012, a year-on-year growth of64.7%, also accounting for6.3%of the total retail sales, planning to2.5trillion RMB in2015, accounting for12.8%of total retail sales. As a new consumption pattern, online shopping differs from traditional shopping, except for giving consumers more trade facilitations, also bringing some new issues. Consumers primarily search pictures, photos and texts that provide by sellers, which is difficult to identify the authenticity of goods. Consumers might be tricked susceptibly. Due to virtualization, consumers hardly determine the identity of sellers. That means they hardly protect themselves after disputation and it also brings a new challenge to the consumers’ rights of well-informed. The paper begins with the protection of it.Firstly, the overview of online shopping in the protection of consumers’ rights. By contrast with traditional shopping, introducing the online shopping features and the development of online shopping in China, further study of the impact of online shopping in the consumers’ rights;What’s more, analyzing the damages of consumers’ rights during online shopping. Through the typical cases and empirical analysis, analyzing the false advertisements, false information, uncompleted messages and tricks. It also makes a concrete analysis of reasons of well-informed abusement;Meanwhile, comparative approach is used. Analyzing the advanced legislation abroad, combining with the local legislation to sum up successful experiences. Orienting a right angle to improve the protection of consumers’ rights.Finally, making advices online consumers’ rights. Analyzing the existing system of protection of consumers’rights to set up a better system. By establishing a systematic legislation pattern, strengthening supervision, improving dispute resolution methods,increasing consumers’ awareness and awareness of rights to improve it, promoting the economic development of online market further.
