Chinese Public Universities Cadres Corruption Governance

The corruption of administrators in universities and colleges hasconstituted a great threat to higher education and social development in China,which has aroused social attention; however, there are few in-depth academicstudies on this problem. This paper tries to introduce rent-seeking theory to make aresearch on university administrators’ corruption, so as to propose some effectiveapproaches to solve the problem.Firstly, analysis the meaning of cadre corruption, characteristics and harm,and elaborates the rent-seeking theory. On this basis, combining with therent-seeking theory interpretation cadre corruption, we define the cadre corruptionas public servants use of public power for private benefit behavior. And put the cadrecorruption is the corruption of power rent-seeking, its essence is a kind of economicbehavior. And demonstrated the feasibility of the use of rent-seeking theory analysisof the public university cadre corruption, pointing out that the inner close contactbetween them.Secondly, throw the rent-seeking theory perspective in-depth analysis ofpublic university cadre corruption. Pointed out that Chinas public university cadrecorruption mainly in the form of rent-creating and pumping rent. The dominant corruption is easy to find illegal.
