Haruki Murakami is one of the most influential writers in Japan. Hisrepresentative works were popular with Japanese and worldwide readers afterpublished. Haruki Murakami is considered to be the representative of the contemporarywriter with Murakami Ryu. One of his full-length novel,“1Q84”, published in2009,which made a great sensation between literature favors and critics.“1Q84”is the firsttime to touch the the field of religion, which established the foundation of Japanesenational writer for Haruki Murakami.This essay based on the book to analyze and discuss the influence of thepersonalities, behaviors, the views of love and death, and the life value orientation ofcharacters by the various religious factors in “1Q84”. After that, this essay wouldcompare and contrast the related characters and factors in the other works of HarukiMurakami, such as “The wind up Bird Chronicle”,“Kafka by the sea”,“Underground”,“At the appointed place”. The changes of the characters’value aimto explore the literature and religious of Haruki under the perspective of religion.Nowadays, Haruki pays more attention to the social responsibility as a national writer.In Haruki’s early works, he criticized the war and violence, even the cult directly.However, he prefer to use the same system against to it. And then, Haruki hope to leadpeople to find the key to open the closed world through ‘the open language’he made.
