Language is a mirror that reflects a culture of people, which is continuously changing and evolving along with the progress of society. In the world there are so many different languages, each of them has variety of structures and modes of representation. However, due to the impact of human community factors, after a thorough research, we can see that there is also a commonality among the different languages. In every language there is such a phenomenon as-to avoid words which may seem unhappy or indecent, or which may cause dissatisfaction, psychological panic of interlocutor and instead of use those words use more delicate expression. These words are called euphemisms. Euphemisms in daily life are more important, it is not only as the expression of language, it is the lubricant or an adhesive of a coordinated development of interpersonal relationships; clever use of verbal communication can reduce irritation, and promote the smooth commencement of social communication, in order to better achieve the purpose of communication. If dig more deeply, we can certainly understand the process of social development. Therefore, selecting a part of the most representative euphemisms in the national language, you can determine the presence of research capabilities of the national culture. In this article, was made a research of euphemisms in Russian and Chinese languages, and as a result, we found that there is a certain commonality in the word-building and also in the rhetoric of euphemisms, and there are as well as similarities and differences in cultural connotations. This is a similarities and differences of euphemisms in Russian and Chinese.
