Lead the development of Sancai from han dynasty glazed pottery, occupies an important position in the tang dynasty tombs buried with, is also one of the hot spot of research on the culture in the tang dynasty. Shaanxi is located in the political, economic and cultural center in the tang dynasty, its tombs and relics were unearthed a lot of Sancai implements, it has the value of in-depth study.In this paper, the research mainly focuses on the Sancai which were unearthed in Tang dynasty tombs, the sites and kilns in Shanxi Province, according to the varieties mainly divides into the character figurines, animal figures and vessels, and to choose typical characteristics of the typical artifacts on the typology analysis. On this basis, the unearthed tang in Shanxi Province has carried on the stage, it divided into three times:the Gaozong medium to mid Wuzhou period, Wuzhou medium to Xuanzong kaiyuan period, and after Xuanzong tianbao period. The times feature of the three-color was discussed too. In addition, this article also summarized the craftsmanship of Sancai from the raw material processing, blocking forming, modification, glazing and roasting process. Through compare the difference in the production process between the Sancai mccoy and the modern imitations, put forward the basis of traditional identifications of Sancai. Finally, for using the traditional identification methods to identify typical fake Sancai example analysis, we had the authenticity of a more plausible identify conclusions.
