The Shaanxi,Henan and Hubei adjacent areas are located in the transition areas of the East and the west of China, located in the middle and upper reaches of the Hanjiang River Basin, with abundant resources.Since the beginning of twenty-first Century to the end of the relocation of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project,in the course of a century, the development of adjacent areas gradually weakened, the imbalance in regional development to highlight, the regional man land relationship has gradually become increasingly tense, gradually become the hinterland of the development of the border areas and poor areas. The constraints of regional development by climate, hydrology, land, resources and natural factors such as population, traffic, urban, political and other social factors, either natural or social factors are constantly changing, the geographical environment controlled by the natural law and the interaction between human production activities controlled by the social development rule jointly determine the historical process of regional development.During the period of the Republic of China, the geomorphic environment of the adjacent areas of Shaanxi,Henan and Hubei provided geographical conditions for population growth, and was influenced and motivated by the social environment. The increase and decrease of population stimulated the further expansion of regional space. However, the change of modern traffic has broken the traditional spatial structure of the region, and the importance of regional traffic has declined.Relying on the provincial and regional trade development of traffic development, the exchange market status of traditional agricultural and sideline products was replaced. The cities and towns maintained by the road and the hierarchical trading system based on them were declining. The economic recession and the turbulence of the current situation have further intensified the social contradictions in the adjacent areas, resulting in banditry and disorderly social order and out of control. This series of social changes has an important influence on the economic structure, livelihood style and the relationship between man and land in adjacent areas.Paddy fields were reduced and upland crops were promoted, and economic crops became an important supplement to the public's increase of income.Excessive agricultural development has caused serious ecological consequences in the region. The soil is poor, soil erosion is increasing, and droughts and floods are frequent.Because of the deterioration of ecological environment, economic development of the region more difficult, more and more people living in poverty.Since the founding of new China, the social development of the adjacent areas has gradually been on the right track, and the population has leveled off after thirty years of surge.New road traffic has been built and developed in the region, and land transportation has become the main mode of communication trade. The town was rearranged and a new batch of industrial towns sprang up.At the same time, the construction of national projects such as the South-to-North Water Diversion has brought new impacts on regional development and regional human relations. The change of population has changed the original social organization relation and the mode of production, the Regional development and ecological protection are facing new challenges because of the change of relations between people and land.
