Poshan，the eminent monk of dazhu，sichuan province，who lived in the late Mingand early Qing Dynasty. He was known as the pioneer of Buddhism in southwest areaby devoting himself to the development of Zen for his whole life. He leaved Sichuan forunderstanding and comprehending buddhism in his early year. After going back,hecreated the buddhist sect, which has a far-reaching influence on later years.Not only Poshan was a great buddhist, but also he was a brilliant poet in theliterature realm. Poshan wrote many poetry under different perioeds with his splendidexperiences. In his poetry, the charocteristcs of the society and his truly kinds of deepfeelings could easily have been expressed in free style.Today, Poshan is considered generally by his ordinary life and thoughts but not thecontribution to the poetry. In this therory, it focused on the poetry of Poshan, whichshowed us the evidences of his greatment in literature by giving him the objectivejudgement, enough value and desereved place.The theory is mainly discussing about content,writing style and reasons ofPoshan’s poetry.The theory is classified into four parts by analysing charactors of styles of Poshan’spoetry, which are buddhism analogy, society discreption, admiration and expression,appreciation and tribulation.It is smart to study Poshan’s poetry by conbining the text with his life experienceand culture background,which ask more attention on reading his life and society thanmerely knowning the word. Through the study, the poet’s true feeling towards literaturecan clearly reveal to the readers by understanding the cultrual and social background,anyway, studying Poshan’s contribution and achievement under dynastic succession.
