The Research The Comparative Study On Dongting Lake Poetry And Taihu Poetry Of Tang Dynasty

The development level between region of Dongting Lake and Taihu Lake in Tang Dynasty is very different, but their achievements in poetry are comparable. This thesis will analyze the reasons for the development of Dongting and Taihu Lake poetry from many angles, such as natural conditions, human geography, social environment, poetry itself and the poet's subjective feelings, etc., also reveal the commonness and individuality in the geographic characteristics and cultural characteristics of two lake poetry. The origins of poetry difference between two places will be found by comparison so as to return the real features. This thesis is divided into seven chapters apart from introduction and conclusion.The introduction describes the dynamics of study of regional literature and a number of problems in recent years, and defines the subject from the three aspects, that is, natural geography, cultural geography and political geography, and points out that the commonality and individuality revealed in geographical features and cultural features in the Dongting Lake states and the Taihu Lake states, demonstrates the comparability and feasibility of comparison between two lake poetry, and describes the methods and means in this thesis, and emphasizes the importance of chart and the data collection in regional literature study.Chapter â…  analyzes the relationship between natural factors and two lake poetry, points out that the geographical division, relative stability and openness affect the creation of poetry, and analyzes the similar characteristics of the water systems of two lake regions, and reveals the reasons for similarity in the technique of expression and artistic characteristics between the poetry of the two regions, also points out that water system of the two lake regions carries different functions. Therefore, the poetry of Dongting Lake often describes hardships of the journey and the ups and downs of officialdom, while the Taihu poetry often describes the love of life. What's more, this chapter analyzes the similarities and differences between water, mountains, climate, property in two lake regions and expounds their impact on the creation of poetry.Chapter II probes into the impact of human geography before Tang Dynasty on the creation of two lake poetry. This chapter gives an overview of the total human geography of two lake regions before Tang Dynasty, and explains the impact of cultural factors on the creation of poetry from three aspects, such as, cultural history, literary heritage, local customs, etc. This chapter points out that relegation humane implication is profound in Dongting Lake region, while history humane implication is profound in Taihu Lake region. Therefore, poetry of Dongting Lake is more tragic aesthetic, while Taihu poetry is more philosophical perception.Chapter â…¢ explores the relationship between creation of two lake poetry and social environment. Major historical events of Tang Dynasty affect creation of two lake poetry. The development of two lake poetry in this chapter is divided into induction period, flourishing period, prosperous period and transitional period in accordance with An Shih Rebellion, Yongzhen Reform, and Ganlu Incident, and analyzes development background, reason for development and basic features of two lake poetry at every stage, and points out that there are both similarities and differences in the development process of two lake poetry at every stage due to the uneven influence of political, economic, military, education and other factors on two lake poems of Tang Dynasty.Chapter IV analyzes themes characteristics of two lake poetry, points out that there are similarities in the subject matter between two lake poetry, for example, the major historical themes, the personal ambition, and singing the praises are less. However, some subjects of poetry, such as farewell poems, nostalgic poems, poems of making friends and exchange, and banished poems, show both similarities and difference. There are a lot of farewell poems, nostalgic poems in two lake poetry, but emotion contained in them is different. In addition, poems of making friends and exchange and banished poems are obviously unequal development in two lake poetry.Chapter V probes into creation of two lake poetry by local poet, points out that the local development of the first three stages of Dongting Lake region lags far behind Taihu lake area in Tang Dynasty due to the influence of historical factors, however, with the arrival of immigrant scholars and the increasing influence of imperial examination, the native poetry has been a good development in the fourth stage. The clan literature of Taihu area is still larger, but the influence of the clan literature is gradually weakening, the influence of imperial examinati on the region's literature is gradually increasing. At the same time, the chapter describes the similarities and differences in style and aesthetic characteristics of two lake native poetry and the reasons for it, and analyzes creation of two lake poetry, taking Li Qunyu as the case.Chapter VI explores creation of two lake poetry by the external poets. This chapter describes the psychological characteristics and trends of creation by the external poetis of two lake regions, points out that two lake poetry by the external poets has many common features, there is a big difference in the depth of emotion. At the same time, there is a comparative analysis of the external poets into early, middle and late poetry, points out that the two lake poetry is provided with different characteristics in different periods. In addition, the chapter also conducts a case study of Liu Changqing, Liu Yuxi, etc, from the political situation and survival condition of view by the double external poets,Chapter VII describes the status of two lake poetry in Tang Dynasty literature and their impact on local culture. Literary critic of Tang Dynasty and descendants often evaluate two lake poets. They mostly evaluate Dongting Lake poetry from affective dimension, emphasizing the "poetry impoverishing poets", and evaluate Taihu poetry from moral quality and poetic quality dimension, emphasizing the great elegance, and describes the influence of two lake poetry on the later literature, regional spirit and regional cultural construction.The subject finally summarizes the conclusions of this thesis and explores the value of this project in the field of regional literature. At the same time, the prospect of follow-up study of this subject is forecasted. In addition, Appendix1of the subject is a chronicle of Dongting lake poetry and Taihu poetry of Tang Dynasty, which provides a full and detailed information for the subject.
