Golden mean is the essence of Chinese culture, an important feature to distinguish it from the culture of other countries and regions, having a profound impact on the Chinese way of thinking, values and behavior habits for thousands of years, and presenting in the Chinese language. Golden mean is an essential part of the culture teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Mastering Golden mean can help Chinese learners learn more about Chinese culture and Chinese, and do good to Intercultural communication from the angle of themselves; Teaching Golden mean to foreigners is an cultural responsibility from the angle of teaching Chinese as a foreign language; Teaching Golden mean to foreigners helps the world understand the characteristics of Chinese culture clearly rom the angle of the China; Teaching Golden mean to foreigner helps to build a harmonious world from the angle of maintaining the security and stability of the international community.Native culture of European and American students varies from Chinese culture greatly, so it is more difficult for them to learn Chinese culture, particularly more difficult to grasp the deep culture like Golden mean. This paper explores the cultural penetration of Golden mean in teaching Chinese as a foreign language by the theory of cultural schemata. It is not only the theoretical exploration, but also the try-out of the teaching methodology. Cultural schemata has layers and is systemic. This paper studies how to help European and American students to construct Golden mean schemata from outside to the inside by explaining, comparing, practicing, analyzing examples and designing lesson plans, hopes to help them form a structured Golden mean knowledge systems in their brain and draw the cultural knowledge to understand the cultural phenomenon of the relevant language at any time.The construction of cultural schemata having certain guiding significance on the culture teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, preparation of a cultural syllabus as well as the compilation of teaching materials is found in the course of the study, so we put forward a series of proposals, hoping to make effective exploration of gradual and systemic penetration in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
