Abstract/Summary:
50years of development history of China’s TV industry has witnessed the changes in our TV from the mouthpiece of the party and the national propaganda tool to the marketization and industrialization. At the same time, popular culture which has affected the concept of our life and lifestyle of the people gradually occupy an important position in the discourse contention with mainstream culture and elite culture. In that case, as the major media of culture media communication, China’s TV industry is bound to have tremendous changes. The TV Column Name is an important manifestation of the television culture communication. Nowadays, with the emphasis on TV marketing communication, it has been widely accepted that television column packing has become the important means of shaping TV column image and spreading the brand culture. During the30years of reform and opening, the TV Column Name in China have undergone a tremendous change, no matter from the aspect of language form or language content. Such change is the inevitability of development of the TV industry, and is also the results driven by the popular culture that penetrating people’s living. Just in this media environment, the TV Column Name produces the multiple values, cultural meaning and pleasure for audience by the way of equal exchange and entertainment sharing.This paper study on the Column Name of CCTV and provincial TV.I summarize the development and change of the TV Column Name since the reform and opening in order to analyse the impact and promotion of popular culture on TV Column Name.The paper is divided into four parts. In the first chapter, I introduce the significance of the topic and development situation and transition of TV Column Name in our country. In the second chapter, I elaborate on the characteristic of TV Column Name’s change from1978to2013.The third chapter discuss the hidden meaning and pleasure of TV Column Name basing on the theory of popular culture so as to explain its influence on TV Column Name. By this way, I hope to come up with some theoretical guidance for the naming of the TV Column Name. In the last chapter, I talk about the culture communication responsibility of TV Column Name and try to put forward some view on how to carry forward humanistic spirit of TV Column Name.
