As a special member of Chinese lexical system, the lettered word plays an indispensable role in transmitting Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication.So, it is necessary to treat the lettered word as a part of the syllabus of TCSL (Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language). The thesis will start from the emergence, development, influence and standard of the lettered word, then put forward the principle that used to select lettered word and the necessary to teach lettered word in TCSL, explore analyse the lettered word from the viewpoint of TCSL based on them finally.First chapter, the prefatory matter of the thesis introduces the use value and theoretic meaning concisely, then generally concludes the research about the noumenon of lettered word and the related document, and finally raises the problem that the thesis means to solve and the outline of thesis.Second chapter, the exploration and analysis on lettered word. Firstly it renews the definition of the lettered word from the formation, meaning and adscription that based on the definition made by Mr. Liu Yongquan, and then analyses the emergence and development of the lettered word.Third chapter, the influence and standard of the lettered word. This chapter starts from the negative influence on the Chinese lexical system of the lettered word, discusses the formation, pronunciation, meaning and scope of use about the lettered word, then raises the criterion of lettered word based on them.Forth chapter, the lettered word in the view of TCSL. This chapter starts from the necessary of teaching lettered word in TCSL, and raises the principles should be followed when select lettered word, finally raises the suggestions when using lettered word from the theoretic view of TCSL.Fifth chapter, the peroration concludes the main research findings, and points out the shortcoming of the thesis. Meanwhile, it gives the perspective of the lettered word in TCSL. |
