Pierre Macherey is considered to be the most Marxist critic who has the courage to challenge and is a truly innovative spirit critic.In the context of Marx’s "artistic production",he defined the literature as a production,he inherit his teacher Althusser’s theories and introduced ideology into the theory of literary production,and explored the relationship between literature and ideology,so he established the theory of literary production, which deepening and is the development of the Western Marxist Literary Theory and the Western literary theory, provides important revelation useful guidance for our Chinese literary theory.Thus the dissertation consists of introduction,main body of three chapters,and conclisin.The introduction introduces Pierre Macherey’s academic course,describe topics of related studies as well as the heritage and development of Louis Althusser’s ideas and theories.Chapter One,The conceptual system of the theory of literary production.By introducing of the three aspects of literature as production literature as ideological prosuction and literature as ideological text-production,so as to highlight Pierre Macherey’s theory of unique foothold and analysis objects.The main production of Macherey’s futher clarify of literature as production;the relationship between literature and ideology,as well as language and ideology; clarify the structure of the "centrifugal" and "Symptoms reading" method, as well as by the production of scientific criticism of the text.Chapter Two,understanding the theory by reading some texts. Macherey elaborated the complex relationship between ideology and literature, history and literary criticism by criticizing Lenin’s criticism of Tolstoy as a mirror of the Russian Revolution;he made excellent example for us in the theoretical method by reading the faulty narrative of Jules Verne;he emphasized the critical work to strengthen the process of unique grasp and explore by anaysising and criticing Borges’s fictional narrative.Chapter Three,Tracing the important contribution of Macherey’s theory of production from the legacy.First of all,clarifying the scientific of macherry’s theory by backwashing Eagleton’s views,followed by analysising and clarifying the theory’s contribution on the Western Marxist Literary Theory,Western literary production as well as the construction of we Chinese literary theory.
