| Social comparison is the core topic of this article,(sometimes referred to compare). By using the method of Cooperative Research, the author and the cooperators conducted a total six-time group interview. The main contents includes:the cause of the comparison, the effects of comparison, whether we could realized it or not, how to deal with the negative emotion from it.The study found that:the reasons of social comparison included the experience of being compared, the growing desire, hoping to be approved and so on. Social comparison brought different effects on individual’s emotion and behavior, it could make people know themselves better and found the gap between themselves and the superiors and then enforced their own progress, it also made people into a low self-esteem, loss, jealousy and other negative emotions. In many cases, comparison occurred, but people couldn’t immediately realize that.Based on the conclusion of the study and the perspective of mental health, we suggested that:put down, do not too obsess to everything; acceptance, accept the comparison, accept the independent, real self; focusing on the present, do the things what we should do right now; blank, do not always think to have more better things, learn to listen to our inner voice. |
