Medical ethics which was generated along with the medicine has been given much attention by medical experts in China all the time, but it is gradually declining under the influence of the market economy, the public health system and other social factors in recent years. Medical ethics problems exposed in the medical field are inherently connected to the medical ethics education. The latter should start from the source, strengthen the humanistic quality education with ethics education as the core, promote the essence of Chinese traditional medical ethics, and build a continuous ethics education mode.Traditional Chinese medical ethics thought is a precious spiritual wealth and an important component of our excellent national culture. This article is based on the traditional Chinese medical ethics, starting from the traditional Chinese medical ethics educational situation, exploring the practical significance of traditional Chinese medical ethics to strengthen the medical ethics construction.This paper attempts to treat medical students of Chengdu University of TCM as the research object, through sampling questionnaires of500students from different specialized subject, grades and subjects to understand the current situation and existing problems of the traditional Chinese medical ethics education. According to the questionnaires, we find the mostly problems are:the" students lack clearly learning aims and the sense of responsibility; the ethics education need to be strengthened and the effect should be improved; the students have inadequate acknowledge of the traditional medical ethics and motivation of learning the Medical Ethics courses; the medical ethics teaching contents need to be improved; the medical ethics teaching and practice are separated; the medical ethics teaching is not continuous.The problems mentioned above are mainly due to the imperfect health care system and the negative impact of bad social environment factors; the lack of attention pay to the traditional Chinese culture in society, emphasis on ethics education in schools, ethics education teachers and other reasons. Solutions to this problem:deepen the structural reform of the medical and health system; improve ethics education and evaluation mechanism; build a continuous medical ethics education mode with Chinese characteristics; pay attention to cultivate the personal attainment of medical students.
