Objective: Oberserve the curative effect of electric acupuncture treatment ofmigraine, and observe the change of blood flow before and after treatment withTCD.Materials and method:Select patients of internal medicine outpatient andinpatient department of neurological in Affiliated Hospital of LiaoningUniversity of Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, and undergo theneurological examination and a head CT which can rule out other disorders, anddiagnose as migraine. The patients are divided into two groups: a group ofacupuncture therapy, acupunctured at Baihui, head dimension, rate, sun Fengchi, valley, Hegu, Sanyinjiao, a set of given nimodipine20mg on three courses oforal, for a month, compared with two groups the clinical curative effect andthe episode and treatment course of TCD blood flow changes. In treatment group,in which the selected10patients, in the episode, after EA treatment andremission were examined by TCD, a comparison between three phase flow changes.Result:1. Clinical score values: In the electro-acupuncture group and thenimodipine group clinical score after treatment was more significantly decreasedthan that before treatment (P<0.05), EA group decreased obviously, there wassignificant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).2. Efficacy: after1months of treatment, electro-acupuncture group control rateof65%, the total effective rate was95%; nimodipine group control rate of45%,the total efficiency of70%. Comparison of the two groups, differences aresignificant (P<0.05).3. TCD: number of cerebral blood flow abnormalities in the two groups beforeand after treatment were decreased after treatment, the electro-acupuncturegroup, cerebral blood flow in the normal rate is higher than the nimodipine group, but the difference was not significant (P>0.05).4.Electro-acupuncture treatment of migraine attack TCD cerebral blood flow velocity changes: exacerbation of cerebral blood flow velocity anomaly inmigraine patients, acupuncture treatment, bidirectional changes in cerebralblood flow velocity。Conclusion: Migraine treated by acupuncture curative effect: not only fortreating exacerbation of migraine, and migraine have good long-term outcomes;Electro-acupuncture can change of cerebral blood flow velocity, the clinicalcurative effect and the TCD test results are positive correlation, suggestingthat TCD be used as migraine patients before and after treatment of cerebralblood supply changes the reference index.
