objective：With reference to western medicine health rating scale of developmentprocess, the syndrome scale of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was establishedwith characteristics which can reflects the information of clinical biologicalrheumatoid arthritis scale. Using mathematical statistics method to investigatethe correlation between TCM symptoms and health status assessment, provide areference for further development of clinical evaluation system with Chinesecharacteristics.Material and method：194patients with rheumatoid arthritis were enrolled fromthe Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine andChinese people’s Liberation Army202Hospital since2010to2012.With referenceto western medicine health assessment method; Chinese medicine information selectedcan reflect the clinical features of rheumatic arthritis. Then, the scale ofTraditional Chinese medicine was established which can reflect the information ofclinical biological rheumatoid arthritis scale. Using mathematical statisticsmethod such as correlation analysis，similarity analysis，and correspondenceanalysis，to explore the correlation between TCM syndromes and health assessment.Descriptive statistics，test，analysis of variance were compared in different groupsof its TCM Syndrome Scale and health rating scale score. Using multiple linearregression analysis，to explore the influence factors on health status evaluation.Results1.The syndromes scale of TCM with theoretical characteristics canreflect the clinical features of rheumatic arthritis. The scale has good reliabilityand validity，and good sensitivity to the grade of the disease.2. Evaluating diseaseactivity and its development is accurate summary of the present scale of TCM，that has the important instruction function to the treatment. Disease activity of RA is a point on the rate of disease development. Patients evaluated by rheumatoidarthritis health rating scale and TCM Syndrome Scale of RA disease activity is agood correlation. TCM syndrome scale has high reliability and validity，has goodsensitivity to the severity of the disease. DAS28is a comprehensive evaluationstandard in patients with RA disease activity，which according to patients withjoint swelling and laboratory indexes，can objective evaluate disease activity.However，CRP is not a marker of inflammation，but also may play a role in theactivation of proinflammatory monocyte chemoattractant protein. Laboratory indexis much more objective evidence. Our research shows that PLT and RF changedsignificantly before and after the treatment，suggesting that PL T and RF improvementis an important index of the disease activity.CRP，PL T and RF improvement is animportant index for evaluation of disease activity. PLT and RF should be regularlytested.3.For patients of RA，comprehensive evaluation should be implementedincluding clinical syndromes，health assessment and laboratory indexes and otheraspects. the syndrome scale of TCM can compensate for the universal scale andspecific scale respective limitations，and that can adapt to Chinese culture andsituation, can meet the demand of evaluation of different diseases，which has awide application prospect. The general module test results on the life quality ofvarious diseases can be compared with each other，have great theoretical andpractical significance to promoting the development of quality of life tostandardization. The syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis scale reflects the commonmanifestations of the disease，the severity and quality of life of patients in acertain extent，but also covers the characteristics of TCM syndrome and grade. Thesyndromes of RA scale can be used for quantify rheumatoid arthritis symptoms andsigns of information，promote the clinical diagnosis to improve the level oftraditional Chinese medicine.Conclusion：1.The syndromes scales of TCM was initially established with Chinesecharacteristics, that can reflect the information of clinical biological rheumatoidarthritis scale. The scale has good reliability and validity, has good sensitivity to the severity of the disease.2.The syndromes scale of TCM of rheumatoid arthritishas a good correlation with the health assessment scale.3.The syndromes scalesof TCM of rheumatoid arthritis reflects the common manifestations of the disease,the severity and quality of life of patients in a certain extent, but also coversthe characteristics of TCM syndrome, can contribute to quantify the syndromes ofrheumatoid arthritis and sign information, promote the clinical traditional Chinesemedicine to improve diagnosis level.
