Regional Characteristics For Small Towns Streetscape

With the development of China’s economy and the accelerating process ofurbanization,but also a flourishing town construction.Streets in the town as animportant spatial town image embodiment and social activities, they bear thetransportation,interpersonal communication,cultural display function,It is most canreflect the characteristics of small towns and the charm of the region.But faced withthe huge impact of the globalization process and foreign culture,many small townstreet landscape loses its unique charm.The original streets construction can notsatisfy the function of the modern urban traffic and life.Which seriously affect theeconomic development of the small towns.Part of Yunnan is in the process of urbanconstruction of the national character,the loss of urban town’s unique charm.This paper will be based on the study of the regional culture system of smalltowns,with related policies and design theory as the basis.through investigation,takingthe design of shuangbai street landscape features as a typical case to analysis andthinking,then summed up the small cities streets landscape design ideas andstrategies.This paper from the “street landscape modernization construction ofregional features”point of view,summarize the mian points in the design of streetlandscape of small town,then discusses to create “characteristics,nature andhumanity”way of street landscape of small town.The same conditions proposed forthe future “highlight the regional culture,has a certain historical period and culturerepture,the culture of the contemporary economic interests driven recovery”in thesmall town streets landscape construction has certain guidance and help,it also canreference to the urban landscape design of Ethnic area.
