| Using a variety of hedgehopping weapons against enemy’s important military targets, has become a mainstream way of fighting. With the appearance of large numbers of such weapons, the use of traditional air defense artillery and anti-aircraft missiles to construct three lines of defense has been in a saturated state, they are too busy to deal with a sudden attack of such targets. So, there is an urgent need for a new air defense weapon. Floating ammunition is a new type of "passive" air defense weapon, it can carry a lot of floating submunition to the target area, each submunition can suspend in a specific location for a few minutes with the help of power source and floating device it carried, forming a floating submunition screen, and build a terminal defense for ships or ground targets. In this paper, the method of theoretical analysis is used to research the distribution of floating submunition in the screen and its anti-missile effectiveness.Firstly, the structural characteristics and ballistic characteristics of floating submunition were deeply analyzed, and then studied the characteristics of the screen and two kinds of its array model in theory, based on this study, a research on the array model formed by artillery was done. Through force analysis of floating submunition, a dynamics model is established. An example was given to analyze the difference of the array model formed by artillery and in theory. It proved that this model can be used to simulate the array model formed by artillery.On the basis of the array model formed by artillery, a study on the kill field of floating submunition screen and its destruction characteristic was done, through the analysis of the intersection between kill element and the target, A kill probability calculation model for floating submunition screen to missile is built. And then, the floating submunition screen was simplified, and proposes two methods to calculate the effectiveness of floating submunition screen to anti-missile. Lastly, by using this method, the effectiveness of floating submunition screen to anti-missile were calculated under different conditions, and the influence of kill element’s velocity, target’s velocity and target’s attitude angle were got.The highlight of this paper lies in the establishment of the array model formed by artillery, and proposed two methods to calculate the effectiveness of floating submunition screen, it has certain guiding significance for structure design and combat usage of floating submunition, and the effectiveness assessment of floating submunition screen. |
