Pure Electric Vehicle Monitoring Software Design CAN Bus

In recent years, with the strong support for new energy technology from countries, the Pure electric vehicles (PEV) has a rapid development. However, there are still some technology problems restricting it. Researching a monitoring software can provide real data objective for innovation and improvement of PEVs’technology. Meanwhile, it can monitor the real-time state of PEV to make it safer and more efficient. It plays a significant part to develop and improve PEV.This paper modularizes the minitoring software for3major modules:communication module, data management module and interface module. The Development of software is based on MFC and using Visual programming environment and Microsoft Access as Development Platform. The main work of this paper as followed:(1) Based on CAN communication mechanism, considering SAE-J1939protocol, this paper gives out a design of a related communication protocol and defines communication message. Based on that, we connect the monitor computer with EV control module. In the communication, the technology of multithread programming is introduced.(2) The software would record real-time data of PEVs’ on-process tasks, users’ actions and warning messages with the Access database. Meanwhile, it plays a management part to the recorded data for seeking, deleting and outputting.(3) With the friendly human-machine interface, the user could comprehend the real-time situation of PEV and do other operation, such as parameter setting,users’ setting, database manipulation, etc.In the end, with system debugging, PEV monitoring software could show the PEV operation information like in dashboard format, or numerical format/cuve on PC, plentiful and pithy.In totally, the monitoring software reaches expected target.
