Discussion Of Modern Logistics Services Segment Neijiang Car Freight Industry

As the main artery of national economy, railway has always played an important role in the transportation industry in China. With the rapid development of market economy, the traditional railway industry has accelerated its pace of developing into moderm transportation industry. The reform and development in the rail freight field toward modern logistics industry is especially fast, exerting a profound influence on the logistics industry in the whole country. As a basic transportation depot, Neijiang Railway Train Operation Depot is closely bound up with the development of modern logistics. On the basis of concluding modern logistics theory and characteristics of modern rail logistics, this thesis began with the current situation of the rail freight industry of Neijiang Depot and analysis of modern logistics development. Then it moved forward to demonstrate the internal&external environment and advantages&disadvantages of the transformation into modern logistics in Neijiang Depot’s rail freight industry, and further pointed out the urgency and necessity of transformation.According to the current situation of the rail freight in Neijiang Depot, following intensive analysis of current market economy, policy situation and the threats confronted, the thesis explicated the basis of developing modern logistics industry for the depot. By using SWOT analysis, it analyzed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the transformation from rail freight to modern logistics in this depot. Meanwhile it used SWOT analysis extensively to discuss the strategy of developing modern logistics in the depot from aspects such as human resources, material resources, financial resources, internal and external environment and market competition. The thesis referred to the situation of development of modern logistics and data information in many freight stations in the depot, combined closely with the actual production and development of Neijiang Depot, proposed the targeted strategy of transformation toward modern logistics in the depot. The strategy for development modern logistics in Neijiang Depot concluded by the study provided theoretical basis for exploration of modern logistics development of the primary railway stations. Therefore, this study is just a good start of solving the development problem.
