The torque is a basic load of the drive shaft in the form of a variety of work, but it is also the most important operating parameters of rotating power machinery. It is related to the mechanical behavior, life and safety of the power machinery equipment, if we can test the static state and dynamic torque in accurate, timely, convenient, and reliable measurement, it will have a very important role to improve and enhance mechanical properties. For the high-speed rotating machinery, the torque measuring signal acquisition, real-time transmission and processing are the key technical problems which are facing in the engineering practice. After in-depth analysis on the basis of previous studies, the torque measurement principle, measurement methods and signal transmission technology, we proposed a wireless torque measurement system. This system are the torque measurement techno-logy which based on the resistance strain sensor and wireless signal transmission technology which based on the Zigbee protocol. In the hardware design, we designed the bridge circuit, power circuit, signal amplification and conditioning circuit, microcontroller interface circuit, wireless data reception and transmission circuit and serial circuit. In the software design, we used the Keil C51software to compile the A/D transition program, wireless sending and receiving program; we used the Visual Basic6.0software to compile the host computer processing program. Finally, we conducted a laboratory measurement and verification of wireless torque measurement system which measured the torque of human torsion shaft and the torque of the output shaft of the three-phase asynchronous motor. The experimental results showed that the wireless torque measurement system is capable of real-time and accurate collecting data, transmitting data, and displaying data.
