In recent years, due to overloading, heavy vehicles and the traffic flow increases dramatically, while the early constructing road pavement structural is integrity, some road performance has been greatly reduced, and some even can not meet the requirements, and there is a big security hidden danger, the thin layer of asphalt concrete surface is mainly aimed at structural integritily but the surface function has decreasing, which is just the skid resistance, smoothness, comfort can not meet the requirements, paving a layer of asphalt concrete surface function to recover.This paper analyzes the distribution characteristics and technical requirements of SMA, OGFC, SAC and other overlay forms, combined with the climate characteristics of Expressway disease types in Henan area, and recommended the thin layer cover face shapeof Henan area,focuing on the relationship between the overlay the porosity and gradation, the model is established between Void ratio and the key sieve hole pass rate, and recommended to the thin layer asphalt mixture gradation scope; analyse of the surface characteristics of thin overlay, applicable conditions, scope of application, presents the technical requirements of raw materials and disease treatment measures; combined with the recommended gradation range to determine the mix design method of evaluation; the detection and tracking method of construction technology and construction quality, formed a complete technology of expressway asphalt concrete overlay construction. Finally, combined with the physical paving projects, the formulation of overlay of local standards, provide technical support for the promotion of asphalt concrete overlay in Henan province.
