Asphalt pavement with its comfortable driving sense and excellent performance,by domestic and foreign road builders and users of all ages,is currently widely used in modern high-grade highways.Rutting as a major disease of the current asphalt pavement has become the focus of future road maintenance.In order to solve the problem of asphalt pavement rut,domestic and foreign scholars in the prevention and management of a lot of research.Based on the Guangxi Nanyou Freeway,this paper investigates the types and causes of rutting damage,analyzes the measures to prevent rutting disease,and explores the road performance and applicability of ultra-thin wear layer.Through the investigation,it is found that the rutting of the asphalt pavement of the freeway is mainly caused by rutting,and the type of compact and unstable rutting is obvious.The results show that the asphalt mixture has low shear strength,high vehicle overload and high temperature,low standard of construction compaction,improper connection between layers,and uneven construction are the main causes of the rutting of the pavement.The paper discusses the measures to prevent the rut disease of asphalt pavement from the aspects of improving the asphalt pavement structure,the asphalt mixture raw material and improving the construction technology.Example of the use of paved ultra-thin asphalt wear layer to prevent pavement rut disease.The experimental results show that the road performance of the ultra-thin abrasive layer AC-8 asphalt mixture of Nanyou Freeway is in accordance with the existing specifications and the performance requirements of the asphalt mixture.Finally,the paper summarizes the construction scheme and experience of the ultra-low wear layer of Nanyou Freeway and its technical advantages for the ultra-low wear layer in the South China high temperature area.
