Elderly Chinese Toy Design Research

China consumers association has issued "elderly consumers’ rights and interests protection present situation investigation report" in2011, this report showed that China is in a rapid development stage of aging population and the trend of aging, the empty nest becomes more and more obviously. This phenomenon caused by the change of family, economy, social relations, etc., after the elderly slowly withdraw from the stage of social work. Inevitably, the elderly will experience a loss of physical and mental health, the loss of family and social relationships and the loss of survival purposes. Based on the elderly physical, psychological and aesthetic characteristics which were presented, this thesis began a research into the elderly toy design in China. This research aimed at caring the elderly, helping them to adapt the constant development and change of society.Basically, the elderly toys market is blank in our country, and based on this background, this thesis chose the elderly toy design as research subject. From the physiological characteristics, psychological characteristics and aesthetic characteristic analysis of the effect of the elderly toy design; From the respect such as fitness, mental, emotional, analysis the different function of the elderly toy; From the elderly toy design elements, design principle, the diversity of the emotional design of scientific research.Elderly toy products is not only beneficial to the old people’s physical and mental development, improve the quality of life and life interest, and conducive to the development of economy in our country, social stability and the comprehensive promotion of social life, the elderly toy market development is also an indispensable force in the economic development.
