Bayannaoer Ecological Agriculture, Construction Problems And Countermeasures

Ecological agriculture, as a new model of agriculture development that balances economic, sociological and ecological effects, is an important way for the sustainable development of agriculture. Since the1980s, ecological agriculture has become increasingly popular around the world for its effectiveness, quality, productivity and sustainability. In view of the limitations of agricultural resources, the gravity of environmental pollution, the worsening of ecology and the low quality of agricultural products in recent years, developing ecological agriculture can, on the one hand, ensure the sustainable, effective and recycled using of limited resources and the coordinated development of economy, society and ecology; and can, on the other hand, promote the quality and quantity of agricultural products, the marketability of the produce as well as the industrialization of agriculture. Developing ecological agriculture is a must for China’s agriculture modernization and it is an indispensable part for realizing the goal of promoting ecological civilization, which has been proposed in the18th National Congress of the Communist Party.Bayanur, an agricultural city in Inner Mongolia, is also an important base for agricultural products in China. Despite some natural advantages for developing ecological agriculture, there exist many disadvantages in this city. The question of how to renovate mechanisms in the face of aggravating agricultural ecology in order to put forward a new model that suits the local ecological conditions has become the primary concern for the development of ecological agriculture at present.The present thesis based on the theories of sustainable development, ecological economy, circular economy and sustainable agriculture as well as extensive investigations, analyzes the definition and features of ecological agriculture, the necessity of developing ecological agriculture in China and the process of the development of ecological agriculture. The thesis further analyzes the current conditions of the development of ecological agriculture in Bayanur and proposes models and methods for developing ecological agriculture. It is aimed at increasing the development of ecological agriculture in Bayanur, improving the ecological and living environment in the countryside, helping the fanners and herdsmen to increase their income, and accelerating the sustainable development of local economy.lt is divided into six parts:The introduction recommends the background and significance of the topic, the content and purpose of the study, methodology and the dynamics of ecological agriculture in China and abroad.Chapter Two discusses the definitions and features of ecological agriculture, the necessity and process of developing ecological agriculture in China, as well as the theoretical foundations of developing ecological agriculture.Chapter Three analyzes the current conditions and major problems for developing ecological agriculture in Bayanur.Chapter Four analyzes the concept of ecological agricultural models, the basic principles for designing and developing a model as well as the factors involved. Three ecological agricultural models that are suitable for Bayanur have been proposed accordingly.Chapter Five puts forward some methods for the construction of ecological agriculture based on the local conditions and ecological agricultural models.The Conclusion part summarizes the content of the study and points out directions for following studies.
