Loess geomorphology is a product of loess and the erosion process, and also is a natural source inversion loess depositional environment, the combination of loess landscape is changing and the morphology is rich, and have great ornamental value and scientific value, needing to carry out related research. Pangjiagou river basin Huangtuwa natural dam in Zizhou County is a natural dam that known natural sedimentation for the longest time in today’s China, it deposition aqueous loess for440a, typical sedimentary loess section, ornamental strongly but in the state of loss of protection. This article through on-the-spot investigation, document collection, methods of comparative analysis, discusses the characteristics of loess landform landscape and ornamental value, analyzed the Huangtuwa natural dam’s ornamental value and protective measures as a representative of the natural dam system, illuminates the relationship between loess landform ornamental value and protection, providing a reference for the loess geological relics protection in Huangtuwa natural dam.The concrete research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) Based on the theoretical analysis of the loess landscape define the loess landform landscape science value, ornamental value and social value.(2)Selected the rocky mountain, earth-rock mountain of the loess, the loess landslides canyon, the loess deposition of four types of geological landscape typical scenic area, analyse their ornamental characteristics.(3) The huangtuwa region is located in the typical loess hilly region, is the largest natural marsh in the whole country, the huangtuwa natural marsh’s aqueous secondary loess deposits profile development is complete, provides conditions for evolution of erosion and erosion environment for the study of the Loess Plateau; Loess Swale region has a plurality of natural open intact loess section, can be used as the observation point spread knowledge. The ecological environment of the Loess Swale region has the characteristic of original and natural, landscape ornamental.(4) Put forward specific measures to protect the huangtuwa natural dam system pointed out that protect the huangtuwa natural dam system can use the method for establishing geological park, it not only meet the academic scientific research and geological relics protection needs, but also meet the urban sightseeing lift grade science and leisure needs. (5) Through the study of Loess Swale region’s landscape development, development on the Loess Swale loess geological landscape were planning, and divided it into ecological protection zone、special landscape protection areas, scenic area and the development of control area, among them the Loess Swale special landscape protection area can be subdivided into protected areas、two protected areas and three protected areas. In the landscape feature of Loess Swale region, preliminary planning the following tourism products:geological survey tourism、science education tourism、 ecological leisure tourism and cultural tourism.(6) The geological heritage development of Loess Swale is to achieve the purpose for protection, should protect the partition of every function area in the development process, and protect the surrounding ecological environment from the ecological point of view; to ensure the ecological balance of Loess Swale region in the opening up process, all activities should in the area of environmental capacity, to "adjust measures to local conditions、appropriate utilize "as the basic principle, protect the Loess Swale region’s natural scenery. The geological landscape of the Loess Swale region has the aesthetic value and scientific value, in the development process should protect the geological heritage as the first principle, at the same time, should pay attention to enhance the scenic view of value, and must pay attention to protect the geological landscape in the process of development and opening.
