The writing process between Chinese language and Thai language iscompletely different for Thai students, because they depend on thinking patterns ofThai language in the process of Chinese writing,which lead to inevitable errorsoccur.Although there are many error analysis papers about Thai students,I findthat there are quite a few papers dealing with Chinese writing Errors from theperspective of mother tongue transfer.So based on qualitative researchmethods,first I identifies the errors existing in collected materials,obtain Statisticsof the errors caused by mother tongue transfer,then I divied the errors which relateto mother tongue transfer into two categories—vocabulary and grammar.Theerrors which are caused by native language transfer are studied and explained onthe basis of comparative analysis theory and error analysis theoryThis thesis is divided into five parts1) Introduces the reasons of choosing thesis topic,the significance of theresearch,the range of research,the content and the way of the research.Reviews thedevelopment results of language transfer from Domestic and foreign,gives anillustration on how to identify errors which are influenced by mother tonguetransfer.2) Gives a brief review of development on language transfer theories insecond language acquisition theories.Then illustrate the manifestations onlanguage transfer—Positive migration and negative migration,also including statistics of the errors caused by mother tongue transfer.3) In the third part,I divide vocabulary errors caused by mother tongue intofour categories,such as errors existing in two-syllable word which contains samemorpheme word,errors existing in two-syllable word which does not containcommon morpheme word,errors existing in single and two-tone syllable wordwhich contains common morpheme word,errors about applying phraseimproperly,with detailed description and analysis.4)This part divide grammar errors into nine categories,with specificdiscussion and draw relevant conclusions.5) Based on the errors found before which caused by the mother tongue,Iput forward some teaching suggestions for Thai student. |
