Study On The Movable Property Transactions And Lending Activities In Neo-Assyrian Period

Slave, money and barley play an important role in the movable property transactions and lending activities of the Neo-Assyrian period, they are important parts of the economic activity in Neo-Assyrian. However, materials on movable property transactions and lending activities are rather limited, it is very difficult to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the specific, and therefore the study on the slave transactions and money, barley lending activities is feasible.Through the study of movable property transactions and lending activities of the Neo-Assyrian period, can make us have a more in-depth understanding of all aspects of the social and economic conditions, the economic system and economic trends of this period, and make up for the economic research in ancient Mesopotamia. Meanwhile, through the number of slave trading statistics, and the analysis of male and female slave trade prices, may provide some of the basic foundations for the study of the social nature in ancient Mesopotamia. By the studying of the price and quantity of the slave population, lending rate of silver and barley which may promote the development of domestic Assyrian research.The paper includes the introduction part, the text, and the conclusion part. The introduction describes the research of scholars at home and abroad about the trading and lending activities of chattel in Neo-Assyrian. Also introduces the theory of the topic, the main focus of research methods and the difficulties of the study. The text is divided into three chapters:Chapter one:Make a specific analysis of the basic model of the slave trade contract, and analyzed the price, quantity of male and female slaves, finally studied the identity of buyers and sellers of slaves.Chapter two:Firstly, analyzed the basic model of money lending contract, followed by a detailed analysis about interest rate problem of money lending, and finally did a research concerning the amount and duration of money lending in the contract.Chapter three:Make a detail analysis of the basic pattern of barley lending covenants, and then studied its interest rate of the loan contract issues, lastly do a research on amounts and terms of barley loan covenants.In the conclusion part, the author highly summarized the view of the full text, drawn some basic understanding based on the analysis and study of the slave trade, money and barley loan contract.
