| Because of the ancient language barriers and the lack of original materials, the Chinese scholars do very little research on the Neo-Assyrian period (912BC-609BC) real estate trading activities, let alone the monograph and the disquisition. The Assyrian Code hardly has any entries of the purchasing of real estate-related content, so people know little about the basic model of real estate sale and purchase contracts, real estate area, price and issues such as the identity of buyers and sellers of the Neo-Assyrian dynasty. Therefore there are many academic gaps in China. In recent years, western scholars have published several dataset type books, such as State Archives of Assyria, State Archives of Assyria Studies, State Archives of Assyria Cuneiform Texts and so on. The real estate purchase contracts in these works provide us with a wealth of original materials. Through these nearly300Akkadian written contracts for sale and purchase of real estate activities in the Neo-Assyrian period, this paper attempts to do some preliminary research to further the understanding of private economic activities, commercial activities, and the socio-economic status and class relations in the Neo-Assyrian period. In addition to the introduction and conclusion part, this article is divided into three chapters.
