The Research Of Chinese Painting In Beizhen

Beizhen was named “the masses base for traditional Chinese painting” by Liaoning Province in1987.“The Lv mountain painting club” was founded in1991and in the meanwhile, Beizhen was named “the home of painting and calligraphy of China” by the National Ministry of Culture. In the early1992, Chinese painting works of Beizhen were admitted to the exhibition in Beijing for the first time, and quite a few traditional Chinese painting works were collected by the national culture center. The county was identified as the provincial famous historical and cultural city by Liaoning provincial government in1993and then in1996, it was named the national cultural advanced county. In2011, the Ministry of Culture carried out national evaluation and selection work named “the home of Chinese folk culture and art” from2011to2013, in which Beizhen were on the list.Under the influence of many elements, Beizhen have formed a painter group. Their paintings are the blend of cultural diversity and forms distinct unique artistic language, which exists strong regional feature. Zhang Ding, who was a famous master of fine arts born in Zhutun Beizhen temple, once concluded the cultural phenomenon of traditional Chinese painting in Beizhen profoundly. He said:“artists in Beizhen are specified on techniques, while they are literati on the cultivation. The artists convey their feelings by ink, integrate feeling with the scene, give life to work.”The thesis first combines the history origin of development of traditional Chinese painting with contemporary styles and works of traditional Chinese paintings to conclude the development status and achievement of the traditional Chinese painting in Beizhen. Then, it analyzes the artistic characteristics and manifestation of the traditional Chinese painting in Beizhen. Next, the paper probes into the facing problems of development as well as the development prospects of the traditional Chinese painting in Beizhen. Finally, the article makes an analysis on the painting styles, Technique characteristics, aesthetic ideal and creating concept so as to provide theoretic support for the development of the traditional Chinese painting in Beizhen.
