Geographical And Social Research On The Dialect In Lanxi Town,Jiangyong County Of Hunan Province

Hunan Jiangyong Lanxi local dialect is the research object of this paper. It uses field survey method to make a complete investigation about the phonetic features of10administrative villages. Then it makes a comparative study from the view of geographical linguistics. At the same time, investigate the popularity and attitude of the using dialect by way of questionnaire survey from the view of sociolinguistics. The thesis consists of seven chapters.In the aspect of geographical linguistics, display the phonetic differences through the map. In the aspect of voice, the tone is divided into three big tracts of Daxiang tablets、Daixia tablets and Shipan tablets. There are certain rules in the evolvement of consonants and vowels. But there are also exceptions. For example, not after all media, affricate consonant thanh hoa plenum,only Dong(动)Pan(盘)Quan(拳)Qun(裙)still retain the voiced. The tail vowel of Yang sound appears the weakening trend. The Shen(深)Zhen(臻)Zeng(曾)Geng(梗)disappear speed of tail vowel is the fastest. In the aspect of vocabulary, the differences are small and mainly reflected in the pronunciation. A few words have big difference. Because of on the same main traffic line, the pronunciation of Shanshuikou(山水口)keep in with Daxiang tablets.In the aspect of sociolinguistics, The survey shows that the dialect is one of the most important communicative language. As the dialect be deeply effected by mandarin for the young man, many words are not said or instead by mandarin in their life. The young man lost the text reading only retain the Baidu.But the differences are conservated well in the elderly people.
