The transition from traditional education to modern education, influenced the changsha urban culture. Traditional education belongs to the autocratic education, aims to cultivate the literati and officialdom for feudal state. Modern education belongs to democratic education, aims to popularize education, progress in urban civilization. Traditional education train talents for changsha, maintains the feudal rule in Changsha, affected by the thought of making study serve practical purposes, A part of literati and officialdom also began to learn western civilization. And the qing dynasty’s failure in the sino-japanese war alert the people of hunan,the hunan are beginning to self innovation, during The Hundred Days’ Reform, changsha, walk in the forefront of the country.From the Hundred Days’ Reform to the Revolution of1911, the new education of Changsha develop and grow, both the administration officials and the local gentry are positive in constructing new school.
