Since the late20th century, the excavation and study on bamboo slips buried in the Wu kingdom in Sanguo Dynasty for Chinese academic history added a splendid touch. It’s huge number and variety, rich content, greatly enriched the history of the Wu kingdoms research data. Meanwhile, as unearthed documents material, bamboo slips of Wu kingdoms had not been spread or handed tampering, reflecting the basic features of Chinese characters used in Wei Dynasties and Jin Dynasties while the nature of its literature. Therefore, it has greater value for its character research to study these materials.Thesis take "Shuo Wen" as the standard, through the edit of the bamboo slips glyph form, comprehensive collected and classification studied of the new shape of Chinese characters in the bamboo slips of Wu kingdoms. And then explain and summarize each type of meticulous description to have a glimpse of Wei Dynasties and Jin Dynasties studies of using Chinese characters’face. Ultimately to do a little contribution for the study of the history of Chinese characters. At the same time.on the basis of the descriped new shape of Chinese characters above, we focuses on the following three aspects emphatically:Firstly, Classification analysis and study on the variant-forms of Chinese characters in the Bamboo slips of the Wu kingdom.Using "Shuo Wen" seal scrips and glyphs commonly used in the Bamboo slips of Han and San guo dynasty as a traditional chinese glyph, we compare them with the variant-forms in order to classify them(including sampling parts.adding parts.chaging and so on.).And,specific features of Chinese characters in the Bamboo slips(simplicity,distinctiveness,randomicity and epochal character). We also sum up the evolution rules of the variant-forms.assimilation,dissimilation,confusion included.Secondly, Study on the new Chinese characters in the Bamboo slips of the Wu kingdom.In this chapter, we take "Shuo Wen" as the standard, the new Chinese characters is seen in the bamboo slips first time. As for the actual material,the new characters are classfied in several situations:firstly,not seen in "Shuo Wen," They could be seen in other materials(unearthed literature and historical documents) that are produced earlier than bamboo slips of the Wu kingdom; And then, not seen in "Shuo Wen," but they could be seen in the later word dictionaries; lastly, they couldn’t be found in "Shuo Wen" or in the ancient dictionary.Thirdly,Conclusion about the variant-forms of Chinese characters and new Chinese characters.In this chapter, we divided into two sections.At the first time.though the study above, we draw up the significance to research the variant-forms of Chinese characters. Then,It’s important to add new Chinese characters in the "Shuowen" and other ancient dictionaries.
