The government film censorship issues, not only involves with the historical developments of censorship itself, but also it should contains the problem how to suit for the specific situation in China and the requirement of such a changing new time nowadays.As an important means of industry superintends, the government film industry censorship affects the rights and interests of filmmakers and audiences directly.With reference to the advanced experience of film industry censorship in the United States and Hong Kong, this thesis explores the existent problem and put forward some proposals by discussing the subject, standards and procedure, etc of film industry censorship in china.This thesis constitutes by five parts:The first part is an introduction. In this part, it presents the study area, the background, the significance and the main research methods of this topic selecting.The second part, the theoretical concept introduction, chiefly introduced the definition of film industry censorship, the purpose of practicing this censorship and the main reference of the theoretical basis in the filed of public management.The third part mainly discusses about the development history and the characteristic feature.On this basis, the author puts forward some meaningful points for the involvement of film industry censorship in china. Then in the fourth part, this article attempts to sort out the current situation and analyzes the features and problems in allusion to the government censorship in film industry. In the last part, the author put forward some rationalization proposals to the reform measures and attempted to explore a system of government film censorship in China, which is necessary in reality and feasible in theory.
