The existence of artists means their rich and brilliant use of color record the most beautiful scenery. And color would be the carrier of the spirit of the language of oil painting art. The development of oil painting language came through a long and tortuous process. In that process artists held different ideas of the embodiment of beauty that color reflects due to their various levels of understandings of color in oil painting. There formed various kinds of perspectives in which there was a general resemblance with minor differences from a great many schools of oil painting in its developing history. They believe that the beauty is the consolidation of diverse variation. Thus the great oil paintings bear unique aesthetic perceptions.The color of oil painting is formed of the solid color, the light source, the ambient color, the ratio of color and the size range and the changes of temperature etc. elements. The essential factors of color, the rhythm sensation and the reconciliation of color etc. are combined delicately to create the aesthetic perception of oil painting language and rich effects. Thus those essential factors own their individual aesthetic rule. However, quite a few painters lead failures due to their misunderstanding of the theory of color.In this dissertation the aesthetic perception, the formation process, the rhythm sensation and the reconciliation of color etc. are to be analyzed systematically to demonstrate the aesthetic perception rule of color in oil painting color language.
