Procrastination refers to a behavior or a tendency to postpone starting or finishing a task.Regulatory Mode contains Locomotion Mode and Assessment Mode. Time perspective is thedifference of personality on time dimension. Some studies show that most Chinese possessLocomotion Mode, whose most important feature is taking actions rapidly. But other studiesalso shows that most people procrastinate more or less. These are contradictory outcomes. Isthere any other factor that influence Regulatory Mode and procrastination?This article based on some existing researches, picking332undergraduates as theresearch object, using the questionnaire method combining the statistical regression analysisof data and correlation analysis, via statistical software to explore the relationship betweenregulatory mode, time perspective and procrastination. As follows are the conclusions:(1) Regulatory Mode can predict procrastination, namely when the degree ofLocomotion Mode is higher, the degree of procrastination is lower, but when the degree ofAssessment Mode is higher, the degree of procrastination is higher.(2) The Future dimension of time perspective can predict procrastination negatively. ThePresent-hedonistic dimension of time perspective can predict procrastination positively.(3) The Future dimension of time perspective completely mediated the Regulatory Modeand procrastination.(4) There is no intermediation of The Past-negative dimension and The Past-positivedimension of time perspective between the Regulatory Mode and procrastination.
