| The past imperial courts take the stabilizing of the imperial power as their fundamental work. Only if the imperial power is stable, can the long-tem peace and order of the imperial court and country ensure. The stability of the imperial power is more related to the rules ad regulations, institution setting and rulers’personal political qualities. How to strengthen the imperial power and stabilize the political affairs is the common purpose of the ancient monarchy, specifically in Ming dynasty. This paper takes the stability of the imperial power in Ming Dynasty as the view of research, and Cheng-te period of the Ming dynasty as a starting point. Moreover, it mainly discusses something of Wuzong in Cheng-de period, that is, Wuzong’s attitude towards courtiers and Zhongguan, his negotiation manner in dealing with the cabinet and the judiciary and cronyism for imperial power driven. Based on these, the specific works of Wuzong in stabilizing imperial power are expounded in this article. At the end of the paper, the conclusion is that stabilizing imperial power is decided by the temporal society and the rulers’will. |
