Kuqa old name is Kutsi, located in the north Tarim Basin that is a largecountry in the36countries of the ancient Western Regions. Kutsi is the center of thenorthern margin of the Tarim Basin. Kutsi is incoming Buddhism around the1stcentury AD, and eternity in the next few hundred years, the popular Buddhist,Buddhist culture and local culture combined with the Western Regions distinctiveBuddhist culture and Buddhist art. Whether the translation of Buddhist scriptures, orBuddhist music, painting, sculpture, architecture, dance and so reached a very highlevel in history left a high value. Various forces competing for land due to the specialthe Kutsi region’s geographical location, it has long been so many years of war, thewar has not only hindered the economic development of Kutsi and Kutsi Buddhistcombat. After the10th century, the Kutsi Buddhism began to decline. Karahantoward the long-term to attack Kutsi Buddhist forces, the purpose is to combat thespread of Islam. In the mid-14th century, the Chagatai Wang Tughlugh Timur cameto the throne, led the missionary team by the amount the Errshiddin Khwaja Familiesand converted to Islam after-Kuqa Islam group in Kuqa launchedlarge-scalemissionary activity, which along with the compulsory, and ultimately Kuqa area theoriginally dominant Buddhist completely perished, residents are willing to or havehad in the oppression of force, to change their religious beliefs becomeIslambelievers. Kutsi Buddhism eventually destroy the splendid Buddhistcivilization was destroyed, a tremendously popular Buddhist quit the stage of history,religion of Islam boarded dominance. Then there must be many reasons for thishistorical phenomenon. Islam replaced Buddhism the historical stage, thesocio-economic and political systems, religion and culture of the region haveundergone tremendous changes, and also produced a direct impact on modern society.This paper attempts to district Buddhism flourished from Kuqa to fadingphenomenon, and thus the rise and development of Islam, the system of Kuqareligious change this process are discussed, and the facile analysis the Kuqa regionsDecline of Buddhism and the Rise of Islamsocial reasons for this historicalphenomenon.
