The source text is a piece ofsoft news, which is different from hard news for its wide range of source materials,entertainment and readability, as well as the weak timeliness. Thus, the translation of softnews is meaning oriented.This report is to discuss some translation methods based on the analysis of questionsarose during the translation process, which includes the translation of personal names,long sentences, rhetorical devices, four-character structure, passive voice and grammaticaltense, and the handling of coherence of the whole passage.
