Study On Uyghur Traditional Pottery Bowl Crafts

Pottery bowl is an important invention in the history of human technologicaldevelopment. In different countries and different regions of the same country, potterybowl presents different context characteristics, which constitutes the world bowlscultural diversity. Uyghur pottery bowl handicraft is an important part of Chinesepottery bowl handicraft development system, is one of the most representative ofUighur handicraft. In this paper, we describe the the Uyghur folk pottery bowlhandicrafts, aiming to help the understanding of cultural factors and its artistic valueabout the folk cultuer.Papers selected Akto County, Xinjiang Baren township pottery bowl as the objectof study, and conducted a comprehensive description of research, including theprocess of making pottery bowl, earthenware bowl history, tools of making potterybowl, production division and apprenticeprohibited language in the Uygur bowls folklife. We grouped together various regional elements in the Uygur folk pottery bowlhandicraft, analysing the premise of Uygur folk pottery bowl types and their functions,as well as pottery environmental industrial processes on the basis of literature andcollection data.The thesis is divided into Introduction, Appendix and4Chapters of the body part.The introduction part presents the research background, research status, purpose andsignificance of the research, research method and thesis innovative point etc. First partintroduces geographical and historical factors of Barin Township, Akto County, aXinjiang pottery bowl village, for beeng a pottery bowl industry center. The contentsof the second chapter to discuss the types of Uighur pottery bowl, craftsmanship,decoration, making pottery bowl tools. Chapter three presents the fact that potterybowl industry is characterized by a detailed description of prohibited language basedon pottery bowl production division, the relationship between master and apprentice.The fourth chapter discusses the social value of the pottery bowl, to analyze the roleof folk pottery bowl in the manners and customs of the Uighur people, the role of theUighur interpersonal pottery bowl, pottery bowl handicrafts challenges. The appendixdescribes the name of the professional pottery bowl crafts, pottery bowl productiondivision and the apprentice’s file.The above study concluded: Baren Township, Akto County pottery bowl as the villagepottery bowl handicraft, is part of the Xinjiang Uygur pottery bowl handicraft, andalsow has a unique style. Its existence has a grait important role on understanding thedevelopment of Xinjiang Uygur traditional handmade culture, religious traditions andliving customs, and this also helps research on the Silk Road, the East-West culturalexchanges.
