There are more than400Inscriptive Writtings in existence written by Liu Kezhuang, which number is extremely impressive as well as the quality, so Liu Kezhuang are regarded as the last person who writes Inscriptive Writtings in Song dynasty and Praised prominent by Si Ku Quan Shu.This article is based on text, classifying the poetry, essays, signatures, paintings of Liu Kezhuang in oeder to have a holistic understanding of the Liu Kezhuang’s Inscriptive Writtings. At the same time, this article will make some necessary analysis and discussion of the artistic characteristics. Liu Kezhuang’s Inscriptive Writtings inherit the traditional basic institutional characteristics, manifestations and show a lot of innovation. His Inscriptive Writtings are flexible at form of characters, mystery and changing in expression means, natural and appropriate in the use of idioms and allusions just as salt is put in water.This article also explores Liu Kezhuang’s literary thought and spiritual world from the perspective of his Inscriptive Writtings. Liu Kezhuang’s notion of poetry,requires of creation and leaenning standars have been fully reflected in the Inscriptive Writtings which have advantages in commenting. Liu Kezhuang’s Inscriptive Writtings have lots of author’s own emotion except the criticism of poem, articles and paintings, which become an important window for us to understand his spirit world.From the perspective of inscriptive writings, discussing Liu Kezhuang’s literary thought and spiritual world who as a literary leader in the end of Song dynasty, not only can we restore a more three-dimensional, comprehensive, vivid Liu Kezhuang to enrich the research of Liu Kezhuang individual, but also can get a glimpse of the literary circumstance at that time and the people’s mental world.
