The achievements in art obtained in the Baroque era have laid the foundation of the development of European music. During this period, the oboe also underwent an unprecedented development. Thanks to several significant works composed by Johann Joachim Quantz, the important role played by the oboe in the orchestra, which had received little attention before, began to be realized by people. This thesis aims to explore the music style of the Baroque era and the exact performing style of the oboe from three perspectives:the background of creating, the musical form, and the performing experience.
