On The Decorative Techniques And Performances In The Oboe Works Of Baroque

The baroque period was the first golden age in the development of oboe and learning works in baroque period is an essential part for every oboe students in the learning process.When studying oboe works of the baroque period,it is not hard to find many versions of the performance spectrum,as well as multiple versions of the audio.The study found that there are big differences in the processing of ornamentation and quite a lot of controversy existing on processing and performing.However,as an dispensable element of works in the baroque period,ornamentation plays an important role in the impression of phrases,musical expressiveness and the prominence of the main sound.Therefore,combining my own experience,handling methods from the professor and some valuable music score,I would like to analyze the treatment of ornamentation and some points that need to pay attention to when performing.
