As it is program music which has a sense of literature, it has a close relationship with Inferno which is a religious literature work wrote by Dante, a Medieval poet. Few of domestic scholars researched this composition, there are only three papers talked about it. As to say the close relationship between this composition and Inferno, it is only mentioned in Fang Min’s paper------"The Analysis of Dante Review-Discussing the Relationship Between the Spiritual Connotation of Liszt’s music and the literature theme of Dante ", it reached a remarkable depth, but unfortunately it is a kind of theory and music ontology analysis which is derived from musical themes, it fails to take performance into account. While the majority of other articles are introducing Liszt’s Album d’un Voyageur as a whole or as a part, they are short of meticulous and comprehensive analysis. So it is necessary to interpret Dante Review under the thoughts of Renaissance. There are four chapters to analyze Dante Review:The first chapter is to analyze the formation of Dante Review in a wider context by introducing the music style of Romantic Period, Liszt’s personal life and his compositions, and its importance in Liszt’s whole compositions, then demonstrating the meaning of selecting this composition as a starting analyzing point. The second chapter is mainly on discussing the effects of literature on Liszt’s Dante Review, Dante’s Inferno and Hugo’s Inner Voices are of the closest relationship among them. The third chapter is mainly to observe the literature content in Dante Review from the perspective of genre, form, as well as music themes. The fourth chapter is based on the first, second and third chapter, in the synthesis of the above contents, to put forward my views on how to play and interpret Dante Review, and how to solve the difficulties and problems encountered while playing. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Liszt, Apres Une Lecture Du Dante:Fantasia quasi Sonata, Divine Comedy, Genre, Form, Musical Themes, Literature Meaning, Performing Interpretation | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
