| The new generation of migrant-worker, who has become the main group of the wholemigrant workers, represents the development direction of industrial workers in China. Thepresent thesis, on the basis of field survey, takes the new generation of migrant-worker in thePearl River Delta Region as subject and studies the current situations and problems of theircultural life. Moreover, the present thesis also studies how well these migrant-worker canadapt to the culture of LingNan. On the foundation of the above researches, the present studyexplores how to construct a system in which public sector, enterprises, society and the newgeneration of migrant-worker can have effective communication so as to improve the culturallife of the new generation of migrant-worker. The structure of the present thesis can beillustrated as follows:Chapter One: research background, research significance, main research contents,research thought, research method and domestic and overseas research status with regards tothe new generation migrant-worker and their problems in cultural life are specified.Chapter Two: main terminologies and theoretical basis are introduced. On the foundationof previous studies, the author specifies the concept of new generation migrant-worker in thepresent study as well as the scope of cultural life. Important theories such as cultural adaptingtheory, cultural right theory, public cultural services theory are introduced.Chapter Three:on the basis of survey data, analyzes the current status as to the culturallife of the new generation migrant-worker in the Pearl River Delta Region as well as thecurrent status of culture supply provides by the government and enterprises from thedimensions of the cultural life of the system-meaning,the cultural life of thebehavior-meaning,the cultural life of the values-meaning,the cultural life of thedaily-meaning.Chapter Four: mainly focuses on the adaptability of the new generation migrant-workerin the Pearl River Delta Region toward LingNan culture. This chapter tries to investigatereasons for the problems they have come across from aspects of system deficiencies, absenceof government functions, social atmosphere and economic status etc.Chapter Five：based on the advanced experience of the public sectors in the Pearl RiverDelta Region on public culture service, Chapter Five explores methods to improve the publicservice system of culture and strategies to improve the cultural life of the new generationmigrant-worker from the angles of public sector, enterprises, society and the new generationmigrant-worker. The innovation of the present study lies in three aspects as follows:1.Comprehending the cultural pursuit of the new generation migrant-worker throughanalyzing their relevant current situations, which is summarized from survey data collected inthe Pearl River Delta Region.2.Inspecting the current situations of the cultural life of the new generationmigrant-worker from viewpoint of governmental public culture supply and hope to improvetheir cultural life by improving the public service system of culture.3. Possessing regional characteristics since the present study analyzes the influences ofregional culture on the new generation migrant-worker, for example, analyses of theadaptability of the new generation migrant-worker in the Pearl River Delta Region towardLingNan culture in the present study. |
