The Image Of Snake In The Book Of "Shan Hai Jing"

ShanHaiJing is an ancient book, the main content of which is fairy tales. The research about it has never been interrupted. But the researches seldom focus in snakes. The researches bearing on snakes are not full-scale, only used it as a single or segment material. Therefor, above on these researches of snakes in ShanHaiJing, it is necessary for the writer to tidy snake figures in full-scale and try to reveal the peculiarity and mysteryMy paper is written in four chapters. The first one is to explain research status bearing on my domain, the nature of Shanhaijing, and the purpose of my writing. The second one is to explain single image of snake. The snake images in ShanHaiJing are sorted to summarized the snake fantasy in ShanHaiJing. The third one is the main body of the paper. Snake images of mixed mode are analyzed herein from totem, myth and wizard in two parts. The first one is to explain the content of man-god body in ShanHaiJing from the view of mixed mode body of human-snake-God body. Due to the reason that only one item about Nvwa in SahnHaiJing, the view must be changed to the evolvement of Nvwa. And it can not to avoid the image-broke of man head and snake body. The second one is to obtain a conclusion that the presence of snake is a kind of witchcraft form the culture connotation of snake played of multi-God. The forth one is the conclusion. The main image and culture connotation of snake is summarized above on the preamble part in ShanHaiJing, then to reveal the enchantment of snake.
