Among them, the number of snake-man novels is 11 and the snake-woman 13.The motif of love and marriage between human being and snake devil implies a lot of factors such as culture, folklore, religion, social ideological trend, gender literature and so on. These different novels have some similar aspects in their characters, plots and themes. On the basis of these 24 novels and from the angle of motif, this paper will analyze the construction, folklore, religion, gender literature of these motif novels.
