This thesis, based on the theme of world-known folk tales Snake and Man, systematically studies the basic situation of the story, transmission, Mongolia subtypes, the mother, and the cultural connotation of the system. The paper consists of three parts of the Introduction, the body, and the conclusion with the research method of School of Geography and History theoriesIn the introduction, it explains the reason why this topic is chosen, and the significance of the research and the methods. It also analyses and reorganizes the snake man story, lists out the study design and confines the research criteria.Firstly, the text expounds the basic situation of this story and its route of transmission in Mongolia Region. According to the distinctive texts of Snake man story, the author sorts it into three types of story, namely the story of snake maã€three sisters and the story of the Beauty and the Beast, and three-story types of snake man and sisters are further divided into three subtypes. Secondly, the author analyzes the characteristics of the Snake Man Story spreading in Mongolia, explores several common parents, and reveals the function of the protocol in the story as well. What’s followed is the main contents and connotations of the story. Caring for the elderly and the boomerang is the basic idea of the story. From the perspective of cultural anthropology the author explores the cultural source of the snake which is deified after death and became a bird on a branch of a tree. Lastly, the author summaries the main content of the thesis and presents her own viewpoint. |
